44th International Viola Congress

In the second half of this concert, Ingrid and Sophia Acheson (the violist from Toru) will perform Bax’s monumental Fantasy Sonata. The first half of the concert is from early music ensemble Pandolfis. You can read more details of their programme on the Congress website here.

Ingrid’s trombone/harp duo Parp! will be playing a fun and varied recital. Come along for a smorgasbord of music from contemporary classical to Cole Porter to Brahms, with plenty of delightful and surprising detours along the way! (Same programme as Te Awamutu Nov 25th).

Toru in Karori Klassics

Ingrid’s flute/viola/harp trio Toru will be performing in the Karori Klassics Friday concert series. Programme TBC.

Ingrid will be performing the solo harp part in the NZ première of this work which commemorates the 1966 mining disaster in Aberfan, Wales where many lives were lost. Ingrid will be on stage in front of the Wellington Youth Orchestra under the baton of Dr Jonathan Griffith. Jenny Wollerman (sop), James Clayton (baritone), Buzz Newton (euphonium), and Monique Lapins (violin) will also play solo roles in this spectacular production with massed choir.


The programme also includes some works performed by the Wellington Youth Orchestra under Simon Brew.
